GotPhoto’s New Chapter

James Micklethwait Appointed CEO, Benedikt Greifenhofer Transitions to Board Role

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter at GotPhoto! Effective January 7, 2025, James Micklethwait, our Chief Product and Growth Officer, will step into the role of CEO, while our current CEO, Benedikt Greifenhoffer, transitions to a Board role. This marks a pivotal moment in GotPhoto’s journey, and we couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities this brings for our customers, partners, and team. James joins us with a wealth of commercial, product, and leadership experience, having most recently led Kahoot!’s B2B business.  In the 6 months that James has been with GotPhoto, he has already proven his remarkable leadership abilities and deep passion for the photography industry.

Benedikt shares:

“James is, from my point of view, the perfect successor to take on the CEO role. He has the right capabilities and experiences to build the GotPhoto platform further to fit our customers’ needs and help them grow their business.

Benedikt will remain actively involved with GotPhoto, continuing to offer his invaluable insight on company strategy and customer needs from his new position on the Board.
