Creating a Photo Job for Sports Photography
QR Cards & Barcode Scanning
In this section, we’ll walk you through how to prepare your QR cards prior to picture day.
We try to automate the workflow as much as possible to help our photographers save time and effort! One of the ways we do this is with automatic picture tagging by using our QR cards.
GotPhoto will automatically link the photos you upload to the right subject and sort them into secure galleries. Each customer will then use their own unique access code to log into the online shop to see their photos only.

STEP #1: Choose QR Card Layout & Settings
Access QR Card Settings:
- Go to your job and locate the section for QR card settings (after the job settings area).
Customize Layout and Settings:
- Select a suitable QR card layout that aligns with your requirements.
- Customize settings for personalization and efficient sorting.
- Quick Tips:
- If you’re planning on shooting the cards digitally, we recommend using the Minimal Layout cards; if you’re going to hand out physical cards go ahead and use the Half Page format.
- Enable “Show barcode” if using QR cards for barcode scanning.
- Optimize sorting for accurate order, starting with team and coach.

Generate QR Cards:
- Use the chosen layout and settings to generate QR cards for athletes.
- Download the resulting PDF document containing the QR cards.
- Quick Tips:
- Generate extra blank QR cards for flexibility.
- Consider emailing QR cards to yourself for contactless picture day if applicable (and if you have customer contact information!). That way you can use CTRL+Find to quickly search for names and then photograph a picture of the card from your phone or iPad.

How to Set up Your QR Cards

- Instead of using QR codes and using Foolography’s Entagged devices, proceed to generate a barcode list.
- Ensure you have the necessary hardware connected to your camera.
